The Social Studies Department is committed to broadening students’ understanding of the world and fostering a deep awareness of themselves in a global context. We believe that learning about history, politics, economics, and geography is not enough; students must also learn to think critically about these subjects to engage thoughtfully with the complexities of our world. Our robust curriculum includes a wide variety of AP courses such as AP US History, AP World History, AP European History, AP US Government and Politics, AP Comparative Government and Politics, AP Psychology, AP Human Geography, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Microeconomics, offering students the opportunity to gain college-level insights and develop skills that will serve them in both academic and real-world settings. Through rigorous instruction and a focus on analytical thinking, we strive to prepare students to become informed and active global citizens.
