G11 Alex Hsu and Patricia Chang were selected by Wu Chien-Shiung Education Foundation to attend the Wu Chien-Shiung Science Camp.

G11 Erica Jang won 2008 Harvard Prize Book Award.

PAS won the Champion of the team in International Academic Decathlon. In individual awards, Derek Jang came in 2nd and Erica Jang came in 3rd in Honor division. Stefan Tsai, Patricia Chang, and Alex Hsu won the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Scholastic division while Jolio Chang, Wayne Tsuei, and Jason Yu stayed the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Varsity division.

G5 Kara Hu won the 1st place in a local piano contest.

G5 Hantine Hsu won the gold medal of the 4th SOGO National Drawing Competetion “Love Our Planet”

G4 Daniel Liu,  G5 Eddy Tsao, and G9 Allen Chien were selected by National Science Council to SciFest® 2008 in Finland to present their talents in robotics.

G5 Angela Liu won the 5th place in Hsinchu Citywide 100m Running Competition Elementary School Girl’s Group.

Grade 8 Peggy Lin and Victoria Chiu won the Hsinchu Citywide Tennis Competition Middle School Group Third Prize.

Grade 8 Ben Lee won the National Music Compeition Middle School 2nd prize in violin.

Grade 3 Dianel Lin won the 3rd prize in the 26th National Olymic Mathematics Competition.

Three Grade 8 students, Ben Lee, Tiffany Lin, and James Chiu, passed the PSAT required  by Johns Hopkins University’s CTY (Center for Talented Youth) Talent Search and are qualified for its secondary school  summer programs and distance education.

G8 Ben Lee won the 4th place in Hsinch County Cup Nationwide Wall Climbing Competition Teenager Group.

G6 Charles Wang won the 6th place in Hsinchu citywide elementary school Chinese speech competition.

G8 Peggy Lin participated in Hsinchu Municipal Cup of Middle School Tennis Competition and won the 3rd place.

G11 Ching Lin participated in Hsinchu Municipal Cup of  High School Tennis Competition and won the 3rd place.

G9 Amy Jeng participated in Hsinchu Municipal Cup of  Swimming Contest and won the 2nd place on 200 meter Breathstroke, 4th place on 100 meter Breathstroke, and 8th place on 50 meter Freestyle.

In 2007, nineteen students from PAS passed the PSAT or SAT tests required by Johns Hopkins University’s CTY (Center for Talented Youth) Talent Search and are qualified for its summer programs and distance education.
