SciFest® 2009 is a festival of science and technology. It took place at Joensuu, Finland and lasted from April 15-18. SciFest® 2009 featured events including popular lectures, game drives, workshops, robotics competitions, and interactive exhibitions. This is an activity for anyone who is interested in technology and wants to explore the world.

Taiwan’s Robot on Education RUN Workshop focuses on the recent issues and methods of using robots in education. The ideas of the robot include the Artificial Intelligent voice command chips, servo motors, and assembly by hands. Making robots is not just for fun, but they also inspire students and help them learn more about the growing technology. Scifest can encourage further collaboration and relationship between countries in sharing new technology. “I wish I could stay there longer,” said Justice.

After the hard work they had done, The Taiwan group received a Golden Award of SciFest® 2009 from Professor Erikki, the chairman of this international festival, in front of the other 42 countries. This is same as world champion and the only other person who also received Gold Award is the chairman of ENO (Environment Online), Mr. Vanhanen. This is a great honor for our PAS students who attended SciFest® 2009.
