PAS Fun Fair 2009

This year’s indoor fun fair was a back-up plan for PAS annual sports day. Due to heavy rain, sports day was canceled for that weekend. Instead of outdoor sporting events, we came up with an indoor fun fair that combined with challenging obstacle courses. It was held on March 7th, 2009 from 8:00am to 1:30pm right in our PAS campus.
Students came early to set their booth up in preparation of earning lots of money. The obstacle course started at 9am in the cafeteria. All houses got into their areas and started the event with their blasting and spirited cheer. Students competed with their almighty strength. It was definitely a fierce competition between all the houses.
The obstacle course ended with the toughest challenge, Strong Man Competition. Students, both males and females, held buckets to see who had the longest endurance. The fun and excitement did not just end there. Fun fair was continued after the games. Students returned to their booth and started promoting their product.
Different cultural food were available fresh and handmade by the parents. Fighting against the cold weather, people were also paying money to throw water balloons at their target if they were full from food.
Students were also walking everywhere with their face or hand painted calling out for more customers. From this event, we saw the students’ creativity, management skills, and their devotion to their booth. Most important of all, everyone in PAS had fun and enjoyed hanging out in PAS in such a relaxing Saturday.
