EARCOS Administrator’s Conference 2008

Our Head of School, Pamela Chu, School Board Member, Teresa Cheng, and Principal, Carolyn Still, attended the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools Conference in early November. Ms. Chu and Ms. Cheng were involved in a two-day training workshop for Heads of Schools and Schools Boards. Dr. Still went to the WASC Self-Study and Visiting Committee Training sessions. In addition, Dr. Still went to meetings on Developing and Sustaining a Standards-Based Curriculum, Initial Steps in Seeking Accreditation with Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and Compensation for Retention of Personnel in Overseas Schools. The sessions were valuable in our school’s moving into the process of earning accreditation and learning how to use assessment of student learning to foster school-wide learning results.
