Halloween Party
November 6th, 2007
Happy Halloween! This year’s Halloween event was a great success compared to last year’s. It was held on Oct. 31st for the second half of the day. Students got off their car and school bus in the morning with their awesome costumes. Laughter and giggles were heard throughout the day of how people dressed up. They were all excited for the afternoon event.
The whole celebration started after lunch with the costume fashion contest. Students took turns to walk the stage and present their costumes. All the costumes had their uniqueness, so it was indeed very difficult for the judges to make their decisions of the winners.
The winners of the five categories, the most creative, the most disgusting, the most fun, the cutest, and the scariest, took home a pair of movie tickets. After the show, students were then divided into different groups for games and activities for the second hour. With the involvement and assistance of our secondary school students, the elementary kids had a fantastic time in rolling pumpkins, passing apple with their chins, and carving green peppers.
The Halloween fun ended with an hour of dance party. Students enjoyed themselves in the cafeteria dancing and moving with the beat.
A special thanks to the yearbook committee and student council for the haunted house. There were definitely a lot hard work and time put into it. A special thank to our Parent Association to sponsor the movie tickets. The most important is our thanks to all of the students and staff for dressing up and making this event a successful one.
