K-G2 Fire Station Field Trip
October 14th, 2007
To celebrate National Safety Month, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade went on a field trip to the Fire Station Museum in downtown Hsinchu on Tuesday, October 9th. At the fire station, we saw how fire fighters both now and then help protect us from fires. We also experienced earthquake in an earthquake simulator. At the museum, we saw a short clip about drowning and about how to escape when there is a fire.
We learned how to escape from a smoke filled dark room by using our hands and crawling on our hands and knees. At the end of the tour, we went to the top of the building and saw how firefighters long ago were able to see fire far away.
