Kindergarten
Children learn at a very early age, from the moment they were born. Once they start, there is no stopping of that learning process and their curiosity. How each child learns is surprisingly different. The two critical issues, early learning and individual learning, are the cornerstones of Pacific American School’s kindergarten curriculum.
Our curriculum offers a well-planned learning center that allows each child his own choice, directed play, and teacher supported learning as well. Our kindergarten emphasizes guided experience that encompasses all the skills, and understandings necessary for optimum development and success at school. We concentrate on the development of language, mathematical reasoning, and scientific thoughts.
Pacific American School’s comprehensive approach challenges children and supports all areas of development. The curriculum recognizes both the values of emergent curriculum and the needs for directed sequential instruction. It also recognizes that children need the capacity for independent thinking and self-direction as well as the disposition and skills to conform to a range of setting.
Our kindergarten offers programs designed to ensure all children’s success in their future process of learning. We believe that learning is best achieved when children are having fun and that academics need to engage children and capture their interest.
