Her drawing was chosen over more than 300 million entries from children in over 100 countries. The International Children’s Painting Competition on the Environment is organized every year by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Japan-based Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE), Bayer and Nikon Corporation, and has been held since 1991. This year is the 20th edition of the International Children’s Painting Competition, the theme was of the painting competition was ‘Life in the Forests’. The competition is open to children between the ages of 6 -14. Selection of winners shall be categorized on regional winners, with each region producing only one winner and overall global winners.
