PAS is a tight-knit community of students, teachers and parents. It is not a large school by conventional means despite the spacious campus and is capable of accommodating many more students. The limited enrollment is by design in order to allow the students maximum room to carry out activities of all kinds. Check out some of the myriad of activities we offer at PAS.
PAS students who exhibit interest in art and design are able to choose from a rich array of courses, both in traditional and digital mediums. From photojournalism, fashion design, architecture design, to UI/UX design, PAS is the premiere destination for the artistically inclined.
For the physically active, PAS offers a wide variety of sports activities for all grade levels. These activities are either built into the PE curriculum or as co-curricular pursuits such as our award-winning cheerleading squad in addition to swimming, track & field, badminton, cheerleading, basketball, soccer, table tennis, tennis, volleyball and even a cycling team.
As a school that places great emphasis on introducing the latest technology to our students, PAS was built as a smart campus and has been a long-time Google School. We bring digital means to learning and expose our students to robotics from an early age. Notably, PAS is a partner school for VEX, the premiere annual robotics competition held both regionally and globally. PAS VEX team has won many awards over the years, including the highest-ranking team representing Taiwan in 2021!
If you long for a career in international relations or politics and are looking for a platform to express your views on pressing global issues and hone your presentation skills, the Model United Nations at PAS is a wonderful simulation where you will learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. MUN involves and teaches participants research, speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. MUN engages and develops a deeper understanding into current world issues. Model UN participants include students at the middle and high school.
Clubs may differ from year to year depending on student interest as many of the clubs are student-initiated. Popular clubs include culinary, debate, orchestra and rock band clubs.
The PAS student council is a democratically elected student body. Students from middle school onward can participate in the council as helpers and once in high school compete for a leadership position within the Council.
PAS cares about the environment and promotes sustainable education through its curriculum and activities. There is even an upcycling lab where students can learn about the effect that waste plastic has on our planet and learn to give these plastics a new lease on life by upcycling them into attractive art or other functional everyday items through 3D printing. Students learn to appreciate mother earth while honing their design potentials.
A large open-seating cafeteria is where the students meet for a buffet-style lunch with a diverse menu that is sure to please. Additionally,
